Our members share a common interest in machine knitting and enjoy learning as much as we can about the craft. Most of our members are hand knitters as well as machine knitters, and enjoy mixing and combining the two crafts. Our guild includes members with all levels of expertise, from beginners to professional, and we all learn from each other as well as from nationally known teachers and designers.
Guild members are committed to sharing our enthusiasm and pleasure in this wonderful craft with knitters throughout the Bay Area. All curious hand knitters as well as machine knitters are invited to join us for coffee, information sharing and learning opportunities the first Saturday of each month. Morning meetings are open to everyone and often feature a special presentation..
After lunch, members may attend a Workshop Program on some aspect of machine knitting. We maintain an extensive lending library of books, magazines and videos related to machine knitting. Members may borrow any of our materials.
Our guild is a wonderful place to obtain help in all phases of machine knitting, from choosing your first machine to complicated technical questions. We invite our viewers to read our newsletter, check out our upcoming programs and join us at one of our regular meetings.
